Module & Theme Releases
The official Oqtane open source Blog module was upgraded to .NET 9 and Oqtane 6. A Comment management capability was added for Blog administrators, form validation was improved, and a new Blog Subscription module was added so that users can subscribe to a blog from anywhere within a site. This blog module is being in production on https://www.oqtane.org/blog (as well as many other high traffic sites).
A new open source Corporate Theme was recently released. It is a clean and modern responsive theme based on Bootstrap 5.3.3. It supports both static and interactive render modes and can help you create a professional looking website for your business in no time. It also includes professionally styled content so you can include sections for Clients, About Us, Why Us, Skills, Services, Call To Action, Portfolio, Team, Pricing, Testimonials, and FAQs.
Both of the products above can be installed directly into an Oqtane installation using the Oqtane Marketplace integration.
Oqtane Marketplace
The Oqtane Marketplace was enhanced with the ability to include Release Notes for product releases... and users will be automatically notified by email of all new product releases.
Security Center
An official Security Center service for Oqtane was launched recently. The Security Center allows a user to specify the verson of the Oqtane Framework they are currently using, and it will display any known security vulnerabilities for that version including any mitigation instructions. The Security Center also provides instructions for how to report a security vulnerability to the Oqtane Security Team.
Hosting
The Deploy To Azure capability was recently fixed (based on contributions from @ADefWebServer). This is a convenient method to install Oqtane on Microsoft Azure (note that it does require a valid Microsoft account).
MonsterASP.NET is offering free ASP.NET hosting accounts (no hidden fees, no credit card required) which feature an automated installation of Oqtane as well as an advanced custom Control Panel for managing your installation.
