Recordings from the event are available at https://trailblazor.net.
Oqtane 6.0
.NET 9 is expected to be released during the week of Nov 11th at .NET Conf. Oqtane has always followed the major release cadence of .NET, so Oqtane 6.0 will be released at the same time as .NET 9. The code in the Dev branch has already been upgraded to .NET 9 RC2. A few compatibility issues were identified during the upgrade and have already been resolved.
.NET 9
.NET 9 offers a variety of new features for developers. So far Oqtane has been able to take advantage of new Blazor Server (SignalR) reconnection improvements, websocket compression, new RendererInfo API for determining component render mode, and significant performance benefits allowing for faster response time and lower memory consumption. Oqtane is also reviewing new features such as static asset delivery optimizations, OpenAPI and HybridCache to determine if they can be leveraged in future releases.
The next Oqtane Developer Meeting will be on December 4, 2024.
