The 5.2.4 release is a maintenance release and includes usability, security and performance improvements.
Oqtane provides integration with external Identity Providers using OAuth2 or OpenId Connect (OIDC). Each site in an Oqtane installation can provide its own External Login configuration using the options provided in the User Management - Settings tab - External Login section. The challenge with OAuth2 and OIDC is that there are so many configuration options, it can often be quite challenging to understand which options are applicable. In Oqtane 5.2.4 this has been simplified with the ability to choose from some common Identity Providers (ie. Microsoft Entra) which populates the options with guidanace on how to configure the settings. There is even an Info button which will navigate you to the developer portal for the Identity Provider so you can get more information.
Oqtane has included the ability to resize images since 2021. In 5.2.4 this was enhanced so that you can use an additional Url format which is more developer friendly. The new Url format leverages the existing Files route and allows for the specification of querystring parameters such as width, height, mode, position, background, rotate, and format.
This release has been upgraded to the latest .NET SDK version 8.0.10 which includes security patches for any issues identified in prior .NET 8 SDK releases from Microsoft.
To date, the open source project has recorded over 2646 pull requests from 57 contributors and has published 49 official releases, which ranks it among the most active open source projects within the .NET Foundation. The Oqtane framework continues to evolve at a rapid pace to meet the needs of the .NET community. The 5.2.4 release is available for download on Github and is running in production at https://www.oqtane.org, https://www.blazorcms.net, and https://www.blazorkit.net.
